1. Spotting Spiders

It’s not uncommon for a spider or other insects to find their way into your home or business. This is especially true depending on where your property is located. However, when you begin to see multiple spiders of the same kind, it could mean an infestation.

Once an infestation occurs, spiders will lay eggs and the numbers will grow. If you believe you’ve seen brown recluse spiders or black widows be sure to contact a professional pest control service as soon as possible as these spiders are venomous.

2. Finding Webs and Eggs

Cobwebs aren’t uncommon to find in corners of homes and businesses. Spider webs, however, shouldn’t be inside your property. Check around your property for signs of spider webs. Even if you haven’t seen an actual spider, finding spider webs is a sure sign that there are spiders crawling around somewhere.

If you notice webs with different patterns, then this could be a sign that you have multiple species of spiders infesting your property.

However, no matter what kind of spiders are infesting your home, they’ll lay egg sacs and hundreds of them. Finding these egg sacs around your home or business is another sure sign of an infestation.

3. Noticing Other Insects

Spiders spin webs to catch other insects as their food source. Spiders aren’t too picky when it comes to their food either. They’ll eat all sorts of other insects including ants, moths, flies, mosquitoes, and more.

After trapping them in their webs, they’ll save them there to eat at a later time. If you’ve noticed other insects in your home caught in the corners of rooms, then they could be a spider’s dinner. Do your best to close all windows and doors to prevent other insects from entering your home or business.
